I started off my week great! In the beginning of the week I was eating clean and working out hard, things were great! Then Wednesday came around and it went all down hill from there. I had the major munchies and ate everything in sight! Oh well, it’s a new week and there are new goals!

May 15-May 21 Goals
* Cook dinner five times this week
(I always make excuses not to cook, but I know how important it is, especially when you want to eat healthy)

Ingredients for the week

* Workout five times-Weights 3x Nike training 2x
(I made my workout plan for the week with Google Calendar, lets see if I follow it)

* P90x Yoga (fingers crossed)
* Stretch after each workout
* Track all seven days for Weight Watchers

To start my week off right, I cooked one of the five meals for the week, baked ziti (Weight Watchers style). I also prepared pumpkin soup, salad, and lamb (compliments of my mommy). The baked ziti recipe was from Skinny Taste, she is an awesome cook who tabulates all the Weight Watcher points for each recipe she posts. Even though she tabulates Weight Watcher points it is still a great site to get fun and healthy everyday recipes.

Mango Madness

I LOVE my house, well it’s not really my house it’s my Moms house and the house I grew up in. I live 10 minutes away with my husband, but it will always be my first home. My favorite part of my house it my patio and backyard. I live in Miami and I do not get to live by the beach, so what the next best thing…my lake!

My Mom always takes really good care of our house so our patio ALWAYS looks clean and put together, I know… it looks like a picture from a magazine. I always loved our backyard because it was a place where anyone could come and just relax, get away and contemplate life.

My Dad built our dock in THREE days, YES, only three days! He was amazing with his hands.

BUT my FAVORITE part of our back yard is our mango tree. This tree has come a LONG way. When we got it it was my height  (5″7″). Now it is a monster bearing fruit for our family.

It is so exciting because this year we hit the jackpot with mangoes. We have enough mangoes for the whole neighborhood!

Look at those BIG JUICY MEATY mangoes. I cannot wait until they ripe, perfect with a smoothie.

So whats the big deal about mangoes. Here are some nutritional tid bits about mangoes and their amazingness from Wikipedia!

Mango is rich in a variety of phytochemicals[17] and nutrients. The fruit pulp is high in prebiotic dietary fibervitamin C, diverse polyphenols and provitamin Acarotenoids.[18]

Mango contains essential vitamins and dietary minerals.

Mango peel contains pigments that may have antioxidant properties,[17][19] including carotenoids, such as the provitamin A compound, beta-caroteneluteinand alpha-carotene,[20] polyphenols[21][22] such as quercetinkaempferolgallic acidcaffeic acidcatechinstannins, and the unique mango xanthonoid,mangiferin,[23] any of which may counteract free radicals in various disease processes as revealed in preliminary research.[24][25] Phytochemical and nutrient content appears to vary across mango species.[26]

The mango triterpenelupeol,[29] is an effective inhibitor in laboratory models of prostate and skin cancers.[30][31][32

Besides all that good healthy fun stuff, mangoes are just so darn good!

The Makeup Change Up

Product of The Week: Clarins

A couple weekends ago I embarked off to Macys to find some new make-up products. I was in search for a foundation and powder that would replace my 3 year obsession with Bare Escentual Minerals. Don’t get me wrong I LOVE Bare minerals, but I was getting bored. I felt that it made my face flaky, but I later realized it was because I was not using moisturizer (duh!). Any who, I got new makeup from Clarins, a highly recommended brand from my mommy, and was so happy with the outcome!

Products purchased:
Baume Beaute Eclair (Gives you that glowing look)
Instant Sun Light Bronzing Powder
Skin Illusion Foundation
Poudre Stop Brilliance Shine Stopper
Truly Matte Hydra Matte Lotion (Moisturizer)
Gel Contour Gel (puffiness and dark circles)

Before

After

These are horrible close up pictures of me, however the make-up got the job done. My face looks more even and softer. It is great because the foundation is so close to my natural skin color I don’t feel like Im wearing make up! What do you think?

I decided to stick with my Bare minerals for daily use and anytime I was going out somewhere nice or had a special occasion I would slap on the Clarins!

PS: I still love you Bare Minerals!

What make-up can’t you live without?
