Round 2: Jamie Eason Live Fit Trainer

Here we go again for another round of Jamie Easons Live Fit Trainer, starting January 2, 2012. I debated whether if I should start the trainer at the beginning or start from Phase 2. I decided to start from the beginning just so I can get my mojo going and start slowly.

What is great about the trainer is it sets you up for success. Everything is spelled out for you from A-Z there is no guessing on what exercises to do and what to eat. Each day is planned out for you so there is no guess work.

Check out the intro video about the program:Jamie Eason 12 week trainer

Below are my results the first time around.

Not bad, but there is more to be done, especially, after the holidays, UGH!

Tips from my first go around:

  • Preparation is KEY! Find a day where you can give yourself a couple of hours to prepare meals for the week, you will thank me!
  • If you have a couple of bad food days, at least make sure you go to the gym everyday.
  • Take progress pics and measurements. If you don’t and you just weigh yourself you may get discouraged. You could be going up on the scale, but you could be losing inches. Muscle weights more then fat people!
  • Eat all you meals!!! Do not skip meals, because you will start to crave all the bad things if you are not eating every 2-3 hours
  • Do not obsess. I found myself obsessing over everything I ate and it made me unhappy. Just go with the flow and do not over think.
  • There is a light at the end of the tunnel. If you do as you are told on the program you will see the results. I PROMISE!

Strong and Beautiful Campaign

“What are little girls made of?”  The Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) just launched their “Strong and Beautiful” campaign with this amazing video featuring womens tennis top ranked athletes.

Featured players: Sam Stosur, Ana Ivanovic, Li Na, Caroline Wozniacki, Vera Zvonareva, Serena Williams, Victoria Azarenka & Kim Clijsters.

The video is so simple and powerful and shows the many sides of women through the use of sugar and spice. All women are a concoction  of these two ingredients and it’s what makes us fabulous!  I loved seeing how powerful and strong these women were and how the video shows their beauty and athleticism, makes me want to play tennis again!

Fit (well not exactly) Fabulous & Famous: Adele

I know everyone may be wondering why I chose Adele to be my Fit, Fabulous &  Famous celebrity of the week. I was shown this picture from a friend at work and once I read Adele’s statement I died. I knew I had to post it right away. I had a problem though, I knew why I wanted to post the picture, but I couldn’t find the words to explain why, then my co-worker said she is not physically fit BUT emotionally fit.

Ok, I know you’re scratching your head trying to understand what I mean when I say Adele is emotionally fit. Well your answer is in her words. ” I don’t want to be on Playboy or Vogue. I want to be on the cover of Rolling Stone or Q”…”I am a singer”….I’d rather weigh a ton and make an amazing album”. Adele is a very wise 23 year old. She is comfortable with the way she looks and and has a confidence that people wish for. She knows she is successful because she is a great singer who loves what she does, not because she is a size 2. Adele does not care about what the industry defines a pop singer to be, she identifies with herself and her fans, no one else.

So Adele, you are EMOTIONALLY FIT, FABULOUS & FAMOUS. Just keep being you and continue to make AMAZING music.

* P90x Yoga: FAILED
* Weights 3x this week & Nike Training 2x this week + cardio all five days: FAILED (I did do the Nike Training twice!)

I started off my week great! In the beginning of the week I was eating clean and working out hard, things were great! Then Wednesday came around and it went all down hill from there. I had the major munchies and ate everything in sight! Oh well, it’s a new week and there are new goals!

May 15-May 21 Goals
* Cook dinner five times this week
(I always make excuses not to cook, but I know how important it is, especially when you want to eat healthy)

Ingredients for the week

* Workout five times-Weights 3x Nike training 2x
(I made my workout plan for the week with Google Calendar, lets see if I follow it)

* P90x Yoga (fingers crossed)
* Stretch after each workout
* Track all seven days for Weight Watchers

To start my week off right, I cooked one of the five meals for the week, baked ziti (Weight Watchers style). I also prepared pumpkin soup, salad, and lamb (compliments of my mommy). The baked ziti recipe was from Skinny Taste, she is an awesome cook who tabulates all the Weight Watcher points for each recipe she posts. Even though she tabulates Weight Watcher points it is still a great site to get fun and healthy everyday recipes.
