Kate Middleton: A Blushing Bride with A Shrinking Waist

What can I say, it was absolutely magical. There was nothing bad I could say about Kate Middleton and Prince Williams royal wedding. It was a wedding that every girl dreams of when they are young, and realize they really can’t have until they are older, well at least not something so grand.

Grace Kelly and Kate Middleton both wore gowns with similar necklines and white lace sleeves.

Kate looked like British Barbie, with a tiny waist, wearing a Sarah Burton design that was very similar  to Princess Grace (Grace Kelley) of Monacos dress  in 1956 . Kate did not disappoint, she wore minimal jewelry, only wearing a  1936 Cartier halo tiara lent to her by Queen Elizabeth and a pair of earnings by Robinson Pelham. The earrings were made to match her tiara and were a gift from her parents, Carole and Michael Middleton.

I was a little concerned though when I saw a recent picture of her before the wedding. Kate was wearing a black wrap dress while shopping with some friends. She looked to0 skinny and seemed as though she was over stressed from the wedding. I was sad when I saw this picture. Back in November, when the engagement was announced, I thought Kate looked great. She  had meat on her body and had more of an athletic physique. Kate also looked more curvy and seemed to have more color in her face. The image in April shows her slimmer waist, with less boobs and skinnier legs. She even lost the cute cheeks she had during the engagement. Check out Rocky Road to find out more about her recent slim down.

All in all the wedding was grand, but I hope she puts back on those pounds, I miss her cheeks :-(

Do you prefer athletic Kate or frail Kate?

Product of the Week: Crystal Light Drink Mix On The Go

Crystal Light has a product called Iced Tea Peach Lemonade On The Go and it is by far one of the best alternatives to Diet Coke. I have always used this product, but I really started to get into it when I was trying to get off of Diet Coke. Diet Coke is great but all the carbonation caused me to bloat  so I needed to find a better alternative. I stopped drinking Diet Coke for awhile, however I started to drink it again, due to a lack of self control. What gave me the idea to post about my new found love of Crystal light  was my co-workers neice. She came in for take your family to work day and I gave her a pack to try, she LOVED it. She is only 7 years old, but I thought this is a great alternative for kids to have and maybe I should try to ditch the Diet Coke again and go for the lemonade.

Active at any Age

This past Sunday I went to my husbands baseball game and I was amazed to see these men, ranging from 25 to 55, playing baseball and staying active. It was great to see all these guys get out of the house and play sports. Many men, especially  older men, start to get lazy as they get older and would rather sit on a couch and drink all day. I was happy to see my husband and all his teammates have that competitive spirit and really put their all into the game. In the end they lost the game, but they didn’t let their spirits down and they amped each other up for the next game. There are so many sports that adults can get into, but they just need to look online and find local sports clubs around them. Since I am moving to VA soon I started going onto Meetup.com to find different outdoor activities

Lady Gaga Lover

This is just one more reason why I adore Lady Gaga. In a recent article from Bazaar magazine Gaga was quoted saying

“I have never had plastic surgery, and there are many pop singers who have. I think that promoting insecurity in the form of plastic surgery is infinitely more harmful than an artistic expression related to body modification.”

This is something that I indirectly feel about women who have plastic surgery, but I never said out loud. Aging is a part of life and we have to love ourselves at every age. Every wrinkle tells a story and embodies who we are. Yes, there are alot of women who get surgery to overcome insecurities, however ultimately they need to overcome it mentally and spiritually. They need to love themselves first and understand we were given these bodies for a reason, that we are individually crafted to look different and have imperfections. I think when you truly love yourself for who you are then you can entertain the idea fo surgery. Many women have surgery without really knowing who they are and loving themselves first. A lot of times women are so competitive and threatened by other women that they try to out-do each other. If you’re going to have surgery do it for the RIGHT reason and not to look better than your next-door neighbor. Sometimes I do not understand why everyone wants to look the same. Why everyone wants the same nose, the same round perky boobs, the same cheeks, why can’t we appreciate the flaws? Who’s to say that one day I will have plastic surgery, but the first thing I will do is find the reason why  I want to do it and make sure it is not for superficial reasons.

Lady Gaga continues talking in the article about fame, fashion and the reasons behind her latest facial accessories,  the horns.

PS. So sad I missed her concert last night at the AA Arena :-( Im sure it was Gagalicious!
