Since I have been on a 4 month Hiatus, this is going to be a long one.

Now for some fitness updates! Around July/ August I totally fell off the health/fitness routine and was just consumed with work, that I did not make time for myself. However, towards the end of August I decided to start a new workout routine that I found on Bodybuilding.com, Jamie Eason’s 12 Week LiveFit Trainer.

The program is separated into three phases; each phase focuses on different goals and consists of a 4 week nutrition plan and a daily exercises routine. I decided to do it because I liked the fact that the there was an exercise routine set up for everyday, focusing on a different muscle. The eating plan consisted of lots of protein and veggies, which is great because I love that stuff.

The only issue I came across at first was there was no cardio the first month, none, nada, zero, zip! I was timid at first, but then I told myself what the hell let me try something new. After the first month I had dropped inches and gained a lot of muscles.

I am on the last two weeks of Phase 2 and I am freaking out on how strong I am getting. Muscles are popping out and I am becoming much leaner. My husband even said he was more attracted to me, hahaha thanks :-/ I am excited to get into Phase 3 because that is where all the real magic happens. There will be a combination of HIIT and plyometrics routines, and the calorie intake will be restricted, in comparison to Phase 1 and 2.

What has also been a great help is the Facebook page that was created by someone who was doing the routine. There is over 2000 people doing the program and I feel obligated to finish the program strong, not only for me but for them, we give each other motivation. There is a lot of great tips and ideas on the page that helps answer a lot of questions that people may have when doing the program. After awhile everybody pretty much has the same questions when it comes to fitness and nutrition.

Below are the results I have so far, from beginning of Phase 1 to end of Phase 1.

End of Phase 1

Let us see where this program takes me!

5.1-5.7 Goals
Go to the gym at least 4 times this week: FAILED (It was that time of the month and it was hard to get motivated to do anything)
Do P90x Yoga at least one day: FAILED
Stretch out after each workout: DONE!!!! YAYA!!!

Nutrition was not a goal for this week, however for this week it is going to be a major focus. I had a few days off from work and I took full advantage of the dinner dates with my hubby. We went out to eat Thursday, Friday, Saturday and had a huge brunch Sunday for Mothers Day. As you can see I did not say night after each day because we pretty much ate out for all meals except breakfast, UGH!

So what are my goals for this upcoming week?

5.8-5.14 Goals
Go to the gym at least 5 times this week
Eat clean (eat out one night and no cheating during week (cheating is random eating and nibbling on sweets)
Stretch out after each workout
P90x Yoga
Weights 3x this week & Nike Training 2x this week + cardio all five days

What are your goals this week?

Crystal Light has a product called Iced Tea Peach Lemonade On The Go and it is by far one of the best alternatives to Diet Coke. I have always used this product, but I really started to get into it when I was trying to get off of Diet Coke. Diet Coke is great but all the carbonation caused me to bloat so I needed to find a better alternative. I stopped drinking Diet Coke for awhile, however I started to drink it again, due to a lack of self control. What gave me the idea to post about my new found love of Crystal light was my co-workers neice. She came in for take your family to work day and I gave her a pack to try, she LOVED it. She is only 7 years old, but I thought this is a great alternative for kids to have and maybe I should try to ditch the Diet Coke again and go for the lemonade.
