Day 2: Gym….Work….School…

Started the day off pretty early
Rise and Shine!!!!!!
Got to Boot Camp just in time for the hell to begin
Thats right… your eyes arent playing tricks on you those are 4…yes 4 risers on my step. Plus, a colorful collection of weights to torture my muscles with…Yummy!
Rushed out of class early to get ready for work. Would have liked to stay longer but… gotta make the big bucks…
I did not get to add any pictures of the foods I ate today for two reasons. One, I scarfed down the food I packed today because I was starving and two, I need to get to the grocery store to pack my fridge up with foods for the day, I had scraps of food here and there throughout the day.
My night ended with school and en exam. However, I had another early B-Day gift from my Bubba when I got home. :)
AMAZING!!!!! THEY DONT BUDGE! Just what I needed for Day 3 of my 28 Day Shapeover Experiment :)
Ciao!

Day 1: And were off….

I woke up super excited to begin my routine not only because it was the first day of the experiment but also because my Bubba gave me an early birthday gift that I was ready to break in:)

 NICE….
My gym attire….

I decided to add a little more cardio to my routine by riding my bike to the gym… also a gift from my Bubba for V day….

I got to the gym did some cardio (20 minutes) then ventured off to the weight area… dun dun duuuuuun. Overall my routine went well except for the unfamiliarity of where everything was and how many pounds were good for each exercise. I looked like a TOTAL beginner, with my photocopied section from the book of the exercises I was supposed to do for that day… it was classic. I was at the gym for about an hour in total and felt accomplished.

My food intake was blaze. I was having Brunch with  my hubby and my Mom but Brunch ended up being Lunch wich ended with dessert (eeeeeek). But let me tell you there is nothing like Pecan Bread Pudding on an Easter Sunday or any other day of the week. However I know for me to attain the results I need I have to watch my diet. What a drag…. but I do beleive in a little cheat here and there…. I gotta live!

Tomorrow is a new day and it is Day 2 of the 28- Day Body Shapeover Experiment which is Cardio.

PS: Here is the routine I did today:

Dumbell Shoulder Press: 4 sets 8 rep
Cable Row Upright Row: 3 sets 8 reps
Kneeling Cable Bent Lateral Raise: 3 sets 8 reps
One Arm Cable Curl: 3 sets 8 reps
Barbell Drag Curl: 2 sets 8 reps
Dumbell Concentration Curl: 2 sets 8 reps
Dumbell Tricep Kickback: 3 sets 8 reps
One arm Dumbell Overhead Triceps Extension: 3 sets 8 reps
One Arm Cable Reverse Pressdown: 2 sets 8 reps

PSS: I thought this was pretty cool. Me being a Weight Watchers member it was about time for them to have a spokesperson who can share their success on the program.

Happy Sunday!!!!

The Plan

So I have decided that 28 Body Shapeover LabRat experiment will begin on Sunday 4/4/2010. My weight routine will be Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday plus cardio on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday or Saturday. Below is a sample of my workout routine.

  • SUNDAY:
    • WEIGHTS: Shoulders, Biceps, and Triceps
  • MONDAY:
    • CARDIO: 24 HOUR Fitness Boot camp (great Interval training)
  • TUESDAY
    • WEIGHTS: Quadriceps, Hamstrings, and Calves
  • WEDNESDAY
    • CARDIO: Spinning
  • THURDAY
    • WEIGHTS: Back, Chest and Abdominals
  • FRIDAY/SATURDAY (depends how I feel by the end of the week)
    • CARDIO: Running

NOTE: When it comes to food I generally log how I eat through the Weight Watchers point system. For me it is a great way to control how I eat and know how much I am eating throughout the day.
I will log in greater detail the exercises I will be doing at the gym and the food I eat during the day. Mind you I am not a fitness guru or a nutrition wiz I am an everyday person trying to get in shape (like every other women in the world), who is using the tools that the world gives her (books, blogs, advice) to attain her goal body. I believe research is key! Once you begin to research about fitness and food nutrition you realize everybody is saying the same thing but, in their own words. It’s the consumer who decides which advice sounds appealing to the ears and who the person is more comfortable taking advice from.
So that’s that… See you laterzzz……

HAHAHAHA! We all learn the hard way!

28-Day Body Shapeover by Brad Schoenfeld

Sooooo…. I was talking to my weight instructor and I was asking her for some useful books or videos I can check out for my hopeful transformation. One of the authors she suggested was Brad Schoenfeld, fitness guru and leading author for womens health books. You go boy!!! He has gotten some great reviews for his books, especially this one but the review that counts is my review. I Just ordered it from Amazon and should be getting it in a couple of days…I can not wait to begin the transformation…muah ha ha ha ha ha ha!
